National Accounts of OECD Countries: General Government Accounts is an annual publication, dedicated to government finance which is based on the System of National Accounts 1993 (SNA 1993). It includes tables showing government aggregates and balances for the production, income and financial accounts as well as detailed tax and social contribution receipts and a breakdown of expenditure of general government by function, according to the harmonized international classification, COFOG. These detailed accounts are available for the general government sector. Data also cover the following sub-sectors, according to availability: central government, state government, local government and social security funds. The publication covers 29 of the 30 OECD countries. Data are expressed in national currencies and cover the period from 1994 to 2005.

Deux fois l’an, les Perspectives économiques de l’OCDE analysent les grandes tendances qui marqueront les deux prochaines années et examinent les politiques économiques requises pour favoriser une croissance forte et durable dans les pays membres. Les évolutions dans certaines grandes économies non membres de l’OCDE sont également étudiées.
Au-delà des thèmes traités régulièrement, on trouvera dans cette édition un chapitre analytique intitulé Les ménages sont-ils plus vulnérables du fait de leur endettement croissant ?
Der OECD-Wirtschaftsausblick analysiert zweimal jährlich die großen Trends und untersucht, welche wirtschaftspolitischen Maßnahmen in den einzelnen Mitgliedstaaten zur Förderung eines hohen, nachhaltigen Wirtschaftswachstums erforderlich sind. Dabei wird auch die Entwicklung in großen Nicht-OECD-Volkswirtschaften bewertet. Die vorliegende Ausgabe behandelt die Aussichten bis Ende 2008. Der Wirtschaftsausblick, der durch ein breites Spektrum ländervergleichender Statistiken ergänzt wird, stellt ein in seiner Art einzigartiges Instrument dar, um sich über die weltwirtschaftliche Entwicklung auf dem Laufenden zu halten.
Neben den in jeder Ausgabe regelmäßig behandelten Themen enthält der Wirtschaftsausblick diesmal ein Sonderkapitel mit dem Titel Hat die wachsende Verschuldung die finanzielle Anfälligkeit der privaten Haushalte erhöht? Darin werden insbesondere folgende Punkte behandelt:
· Welche Faktoren erklären den in vielen OECD-Ländern beobachteten Anstieg der Verschuldung der privaten Haushalte?
· Hat die Entwicklung der Vermögenswertpreise die Wirkung auf die Finanzpositionen der privaten Haushalte kompensiert?
· Sind bestimmte volkswirtschaftliche Sektoren oder Gruppen besonders anfällig gegenüber negativen Entwicklungen an den Anlagemärkten oder bei den Einkommen?
Cette étude économique des Pays-Bas de 2005 (deuxième volume de la série 2006), passe en revue les principaux enjeux économiques tels que - assurer la viabilité des dépenses publiques, améliorer la résilience du marché du travail, renforcer la concurrence sur les marchés de produits et développer les activités d'innovation. Comme d’habitude, le rapport analyse également les perspectives à court-terme et propose une série de recommandations.
Twice a year, the OECD Economic Outlook analyses the major trends and examines the economic policies required to foster high and sustainable growth in member countries. Developments in major non-OECD economies are also evaluated. The present issue covers the outlook to end-2008. Together with a wide range of cross-country statistics, the Outlook provides a unique tool to keep abreast of world economic developments.
In addition to the themes featured regularly, this issue contains a special chapter entitled Has the rise in debt made households more vulnerable?, which addresses the following questions:
- What factors explain the observed rise in household debt in many OECD countries?
- Have asset price movements offset the impact on households’ financial positions?
- Are some sectors or groups particularly vulnerable to adverse asset market or income developments?
The 2006 edition of the National Accounts of OECD Countries: Main Aggregates, Volume I covers expenditure based GDP, output based GDP, income based GDP, disposable income, saving and net lending, population and employment. It includes also comparative tables based on exchange rates and comparative tables based on purchasing power parities. Data are shown for 30 OECD countries and the euro area back to 1993 in most cases, expressed in national currency (in euros for euro area countries), but also in US dollars for gross domestic product and actual individual consumption expenditure back to 1982. These data are based on the System of National Accounts 1993 (1993 SNA) for all countries, except Turkey still presented on the basis of the 1968 SNA.
L’OCDE en chiffres 2006, en format original et pratique, contient des tableaux de comparaison par pays sur tous les thèmes traités par l'Organisation, de la croissance économique au développement durable, de la fiscalité aux migrations internationales. Ces tableaux sont complétés par une sélection des graphiques sur les sujets les plus significatifs de l'année.
