This dataset comprises statistics on inward activity of multinationals in manufacturing with a focus on share in national total containing figures on the shares of industrial sectors that are ‘controlled’ by affiliates under foreign control in each country(inward investment as a percentage of national total). It uses the ISIC Rev.3 Classification (International Standard Industrial Classification) to compare variables such as value added, turnover, total imports, gross operating surplus. Data are presented as annual datapoints from 1985 onwards.

Varaiables such as value added, turnover, intra-firm exports, stock of FDI, gross operating surplus and such are compared by industrial sector (chemical products, food, textiles). It contains figures on the activity of affiliates under foreign control by industry according to the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC Revision 3). Data are presented from 1970 onwards.
