The new system of administration of justice at the United Nations, established in July 2009, has been considered one of the most important achievements in staff-management relations at the United Nations and the protection of each staff member’s individual rights vis-à-vis the Organization. The Handbook on the Internal Justice System at the United Nations provides a detailed examination of the different facets of the system and its origins.
