The Bulletin on Population and Vital Statistics in the ESCWA Region issue 15 disseminates data on population fertility mortality marriages and divorces from different national sources: surveys censuses as well as from the vital registration system. For accuracy purposes data have been checked for reliability. The objective is to encourage countries to produce and disseminate high quality data on population and vital statistics much needed for better planning. The publication is targeted to meet the needs of data users especially researchers academics and those working in the fields of population reproductive health and development by providing a comprehensive picture on population growth and its dynamics.

The Bulletin provides data and statistics on the countries of the Economic Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) covering population fertility and mortality marriages and divorces. This issue includes vital statistic and indicators from 2000 to the date of preparation of the publication. This bilingual publication is in English and Arabic.
