OECD - Electricity and heat generation

  • Discontinued

This table presents gross electricity and heat production from each energy source such as nuclear, hydro, combustible fuels, geothermal, solar, wind and other sources as well as the breakdown according to the type of plant (electricity only, CHP or heat only). Inputs by type of fuel are also provided. Gross heat production is the total heat produced by the installation and includes the heat used by the installation's auxiliaries which use a hot fluid (space heating, liquid fuel heating, etc.) and losses in the installation/network heat exchanges whereas Net Heat Production is the heat supplied to the distribution system as determined from measurements of the outgoing and return flows.
