How’s Life for Children in the Digital Age? will be released at 11:00am (CEST) on the International Day of Families, Thursday 15 May.
The new report provides an overview of the current state of children's digital lives across OECD countries. It presents internationally comparable indicators on digital use and experiences and makes recommendations to ensure that children are both protected and empowered to use digital media in a beneficial way while managing potential risks.
The event will begin with opening remarks by OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, followed by the screening of the documentary Et si on levait les yeux? Une classe face aux écrans and a panel discussion on the challenges of the digital age for children.

- Judit Balazs, Chair of the Child Psychiatry Section of the European Psychiatric Association and Professor of Developmental and Clinical Child Psychology at the Institute Psychology Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary
- Olivier Thévenon, Head of the Child Well-Being Unit, OECD WISE Centre and main author of the report How’s Life for Children in the Digital Age?
