It covers the field through articles and reports on such issues as quality assurance, human resources, funding, and internationalisation. It also is a source of information on activities and events organised by OECD’s IMHE Programme.

Institutional Management in Higher Education

I discuss, on the basis of experience in Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, some common fears and negative opinions about the equality agenda in higher education. These include:

-“Standards will drop.”

-“Our reputation will suffer.”

-“It’s not our problem.”

-“It’s social engineering”

-“It’s unfair.”

-“It’s a waste of time.”
