This June 2008 issue of OECD's twice-yearly OECD Economic Outlook provides analysis of recent economic developments and economic projections for OECD and major non-OECD countries through the end of 2008. Following three years of growth in excess of 6%, real GDP is expected to decelerate to around 4½ per cent for 2008 before picking up again in 2009. Most of the slowdown is due to a spike in inflation that has squeezed real household disposable incomes.
