This chapter describes two accounts that show how income is redistributed between institutional units by means of the payments and receipts of current transfers. This redistribution represents the second stage in the process of income distribution as shown in the accounts of the SNA. The two accounts are the secondary distribution of income account and the redistribution of income in kind account.
