Millenium Development Goals

The doubts concerning the ability of African countries to achieve many of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by the year 2015 is a justified concern, even for Goal 2 namely, achieving universal primary education. Target 2A sets out the goal that by 2015, children everywhere – boys and girls alike – will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling. The performance of African countries with regard to the above goal has been mixed. While some African countries will achieve this goal ahead of the target date, there are others that may not be able to achieve it.
