Balance of payments (BOP) statistics for OECD member and non-member countries according to BPM6 classification are included in this dataset. Also included is a systematic summary of economic transactions of an economy with the rest of the world, for a specific time period. Balance of payments transactions are further divided into their respective components: current account, capital and financial account and errors and omissions. Data are expressed in national currency or US Dollars and are recorded from 1960. Member countries currently producing balance of payments data according to BPM5 will switch to BPM6 by end 2015.

This subset of the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database covers a set of indicators for business tendency and consumer opinion surveys (used in the calculation of leading indicators). Business tendency indicators cover four economic sectors: manufacturing, construction, retail trade and services. This includes business confidence indicators for each sector. The consumer opinion survey indicators include indicators on consumer confidence, expected economic situation and price expectations. Data are expressed as a percentage of net balances, seasonally adjusted, or as an index (2010 = 100) in the case of the harmonised business and consumer confidence indicators. Data are available from the 1950s onwards.

A subset of the the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database, the Composite Leading Indicator (CLI) are designed to provide early signals of turning points (peaks and troughs) between expansions and slowdowns of economic activity. CLIs are calculated for 33 OECD countries (Iceland is not included), 6 non-member economies and 8 zone aggregates. A country CLI comprises a set of component series selected from a wide range of key short-term economic indicators. The OECD has published CLIs since 1981.

The Financial Indicators dataset in Main Economic Indicators (MEI) contains financial statistics on monetary aggregates, interest rates, exchange rates, government reserve assets and share prices. These indicators aim to capture in quantitative terms this important but heterogeneous and fast evolving area. Data are generally available monthly and are presented as a level or an index, available from 1950 onwards.

A subset of the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database, the International Trade dataset includes statistics on international trade: exports, imports, balance and world trade statistics. Data are measured in United States dollars (USD) and are available from 1955 onwards.

A subset of the the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database, hourly earnings includes seasonally adjusted average total earnings paid per employed person per hour including overtime pay and regularly recurring cash supplements. These comparative statistics include earnings series from manufacturing and the private economic sector. Data sources are mainly business surveys covering different economic sectors, but in some cases administrative data are also used. Data are expressed in index form (2005=100).

A subset of the the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database, Labour market statistics includes labour force, unemployment level and rate, employment by industry and services. Data are collected from sample household surveys on a monthly or quarterly basis. Data are expressed as levels, rates or indices and are available from 1952 onwards.

A subset of the the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database, the Registered unemployment and job vacancies dataset includes registered unemployment rates and levels and job vacancies statistics. Data are available from 1955 onwards.

This database includes data on unit labour cost and productivity. Unit labour costs (ULCs) measure the average cost of labour per unit of output, calculated as the ratio of total labour costs to real output. Early estimates of quarterly (EEQ) ULCs cover total economy and are obtained by multiplying compensation of employees with a self-employment ratio.

This dataset contains, in addition to nominal Residential Property Prices Indices (RPPIs), information on real house prices, rental prices and the ratios of nominal prices to rents and to disposable household income per capita.

This dataset contains monthly comparative price levels (CPL) which are defined as the ratios of purchasing power parities (PPPs) for private final consumption expenditure to exchange rates. They provide measures of differences in price levels between countries. The monthly PPPs used to derive the table are OECD estimates obtained by extrapolating 2011 PPPs for private final consumption expenditure using the relative rates of inflation between the countries as measured by their consumer price indices.

This dataset contains statistics on Consumer Price Indices (CPIs) including national CPIs on all items, food, energy, services and housing, by COICOP classification, Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices (HICPs) and their associated weights and contributions to national annual inflation, replacing these 4 constiutent datasets. Consumer price indices measure inflation, or the changes in average retail prices of a fixed basket of goods and services representing household consumption. Data are expressed as percentage change or index (2010 = 100) and are available from 1915 onwards and are available monthly for all the countries except for Australia and New Zealand (quarterly data).

The consumer prices dataset is a subset of the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database comprising predominantly monthly statistics on all items, food, energy and services as well as harmonised consumer prices for all items. Data are expressed as percentage change or index (2010 = 100) and are available from 1950 onwards. The G20 CPI aggregate reflects national CPIs for all G20 countries that are not part of the European Union (EU) while it reflects the Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices (HICP) for the EU, its Member States and for Turkey.

This dataset contains the annual expenditure weights for the national consumer price indices (CPI) for the OECD Member countries (except Australia and Korea) at a detailed level of the COICOP classification. The weight of a product in a CPI is the proportion of total household expenditure which is spent on that product during the weight reference period. Data are available from 1959 onwards and measured per thousand of the national CPI total.

The producer prices dataset is a subset of the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database comprising predominantly monthly statistics. Producer price indices are available for manufacturing, industry, energy and for primary goods at different stages of production and wholesale prices. Data are expressed as percentage change or index (2010 = 100) and are available from 1926 onwards.

This dataset contains the full list of Residential Property Prices Indices (RPPIs) also known as House Price Indices (HPIs), measuring the price or stock of residential properties over time, by geographical coverage over the whole country, urban areas or the capital city. Data show change over previous period, previous year or an index based on 2010 value, including seasonally adjusted data.

Production, data are shown for total industry, manufacturing, energy and construction. Sales data include data on retail trade and registration of passenger cars, while dwellings data include work started and orders cover permits issued. Data are expressed as index (2005 = 100) and are available from 1919 onwards.

This dataset provides a snapshot of data which was available for analysis in the Main Economic Indicators database at monthly intervals for key economic variables such as gross domestic product and its expenditure components, industrial production and production in construction, balance of payments, composite leading indicators, consumer prices, retail trade, unemployment rates, civilian employment, hourly earnings, monetary aggregates and international trade. Full time series are provided for each variable in each historical monthly release. Data are available from 1955 onwards.
