National Youth Services and Similar Institutions

The UN defines National Youth Services as “…one of the means employed, in addition to the usual formal and informal education and training programmes, for the implementation of national youth and development policies. It is concerned with the all-round development of young people, male and female, according to their individual needs and capacities and the needs of the country, so as to enable them to participate more effectively in national socio-economic development.”
