The Significance of the Early Years

Many parents and child care providers have instinctively understood the importance of quality time activities, such as reading to children and singing with them. Focused brain research has confirmed the merit of these activities. With the assistance of new brain imaging technologies, brain researchers are gaining insight on how and why these activities promote early intellectual, social and emotional development.
