Copyright in the Developing Countries

The fundamental idea lying behind copyright is that while all ideas are free, authors, artists and composers should have propertyrights over the way in which they express their ideas. They therefore have rights over what they produce, which prevents others from benefiting from their work without permission. Publishers, film makers and others, who produce the work of the author, are also protected by copyright.
