Hide / Show Abstract

The propagation mechanism and physical properties of optical fibres are different from those of conventional metallic conductors, but the basic purpose of optical fibre cable construction is the same as that of conventional metallic telecommunication cables. It is to keep transmission and mechanical strength properties stable in the course of the cable manufacturing process, installation, and operation.
