  • Educational Personnel

    This dataset provides data, by country, on educational personnel with respect to category of personnel, level of education, educational programme, type of institution, full-time or part-time, age, sex and year. Data is available from 1998 onwards.

  • Expenditure by funding source and transaction type 

    This dataset includes data on expenditure on education by country, funding source (government, private or household expenditure) and transaction type (direct expenditure, financial aid and transfers). Data are categorised by level of education and educational programme, from 1985 onwards.

  • Expenditure by nature and resource category 

    This dataset includes data on expenditure on education by public institutions, government-dependent private institutions and independent private institutions, intending to represent the total cost of services provided regardless of whether the source is public or private. Expenditure is broken down by country into capital and current expenditure, comprising compensation of personnel and expenditure on other (non-personnel) resources. Data are categorised by education level and orientation and available from 1985 onwards.

  • Foreign / international students enrolled 

    This dataset contains data on the distribution of international (mobile) students and foreign (non-citizen) students by country, year, level of education, vocational or academic and first or second degree programme, gender and country of origin. Data are presented from 1998 onwards.

  • Graduates by age 

    This dataset includes statistics on graduates by age, a graduate being defined as a student who has enrolled in, and successfully completed, the final year of the corresponding educational programme, although not necessarily in the year of reference. Graduates are classified by country, year, level of education, vocational or academic, duration and destination of programme, type of institution, type of count, age group and gender. Data are presented from 1997 onwards.

  • Graduates by field of education

    This dataset provides statistics on graduates by field of education, classified by country, year, level of education, programme duration and orientation, field of education and gender. A graduate is defined as a student who has enrolled in, and successfully completed, the final year of the corresponding educational programme, although not necessarily in the year of reference. Data are presented from 1998 onwards.

  • New entrants by sex and age

    This dataset contains data on new entrants by country, year, level of education (secondary, tertiary, advanced research programmes), programme destination, age group and gender. A new entrant is a student who enters a programme leading to a recognised qualification at this level for the first time. Data coverage starts in 1997.

  • Students aligned to finance and personnel data 

    This dataset comprises statistics on education categorised by finance or personnel, by country, year, level of education, programme orientation, type of institution (public, private, government dependent or independent institutions) and intensity of participation (part-time, full-time). Data coverage starts in 2002.

  • Students enrolled by age 

    This dataset presents statistics on student enrolment by age, covering ISCED levels 0 to 6 and adult education programmes of ISCED levels 1 to 4. Data are classified by age group, participation (part-time, full-time), level of education, programme destination, gender and programme orientation.The data coverage starts from 1985.

  • Students enrolled by type of institution 

    This dataset contains data on students enrolled by type of institution. Students enrolled in adult education programmes are categorised separately from the student total. Data is available by country, year, level of education, programme destination, programme orientation, part-time or full-time course, type of institution and gender, from 1985 onwards.

  • Total population by sex and age 

    This dataset shows data on population by country, year, age and gender and are available from 2002 onwards.
