The measuring globalisation statistics provide comprehensive data on the industrial activity (manufacturing, service) of multinationals in OECD. It covers variables such as production, employment, research and trade, inward as well as outward investment. It also include some international trade indicators that provide cross-disciplinary background information.

Hide / Show Abstract

This dataset comprises statistics on inward activity of multinationals in manufacturing with a focus on share in national total containing figures on the shares of industrial sectors that are ‘controlled’ by affiliates under foreign control in each country(inward investment as a percentage of national total). It uses the ISIC Rev.3 Classification (International Standard Industrial Classification) to compare variables such as value added, turnover, total imports, gross operating surplus. Data are presented as annual datapoints from 1985 onwards.
