OECD’s comprehensive 2004 review of the Swiss economy finds the country suffering from weak growth and recommends action in such areas as raising productivity growth and enhancing competition for network industries, cantonal service sector markets, health, agriculture, business services, public procurement, and distribution. This should be accompanied by measures to increase labour force participation of older workers and women and reform of the education system.
