Prices: Consumer prices, archive (Edition 2018)

The consumer prices dataset is a subset of the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database comprising predominantly monthly statistics on all items, food, energy and services as well as harmonised consumer prices for all items. Consumer price indices measure inflation, or the changes in average retail prices of a fixed basket of goods and services representing household consumption. Data are expressed as percentage change or index (2010 = 100) and are available from 1950 onwards.
