Hide / Show Abstract

This subset of the Main Economic Indicators (MEI) database covers a standard set of indicators for four economic sectors: manufacturing, construction, retail trade and other services. This includes an indicator of overall business conditions or business confidence in each sector. The consumer opinion survey indicators include indicators on consumer confidence, expected economic situation and price expectations. Data are expressed as a balance or an index (2005 = 100) and are recorded from 1950 onwards.
