Revenue Statistics 2009

This annual publication presents a unique set of detailed and internationally comparable tax data in a common format for all OECD countries from 1965 onwards. It also defines which government receipts should be regarded as taxes and classifies them. This edition includes a special feature on changes to the guidelines for attributing revenues to levels of government.

The tax data presented in this part of the Report have been attributed to the subsectors of general government identified in Section J of the Interpretative Guide (see Annex A) and the attribution criteria used are those set out in that guide. The column "supranational" reports the customs duties collected by the fifteen EU member States on behalf of the European Union.
