OECD wins the Academic and Professional Publisher Award for 2017
14 March 2017OECD wins coveted international award - the Academic and Professional Publisher Award for 2017 was presented to Toby Green, Head of OECD Publishing, at the London Book Fair on 14 March. The judges applauded OECD Publishing for its “innovative, robust, content-specific and mission-appropriate publishing model” and its “commitment to international audiences and linguistic diversity”. The International Excellence Awards are a unique celebration of the achievements of all those across the world bringing books to a wider audience, whether through publishing, retail or other literary initiatives. Ebsco Discovery Service now supports OECD iLibrary

EBSCO now fully indexes all content on OECD iLibrary in its EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) – a Quick Reference Guide (PDF) was just released. However, to provide the optimal experience for their patrons, librarians must ensure that both the OECD subscriptions and link resolver CustomLinks are respectively activated in EDS.

OECD is a partner at the AIDF Africa Summit 2016, Addis Ababa – 2-3 February 2016. The event will look at how technological innovations and best practice can improve aid delivery and development strategy in East Africa. The iLibrary platform will be showcased, providing online access to publications on development and more from OECD, Commonwealth, Nordic Council of Ministers and United Nations. OECD iLibrary reaches milestone of 10 million downloads in less than a year

At 2.20 GMT today the 10 millionth content item was downloaded from OECD iLibrary so far this year. A user in Japan accessed a graph from a recently published study on education. This is the first time OECD iLibrary has reached this milestone within a year's period. Further testimony to the use of the site is the wide geographical coverage. So far in 2014, OECD iLibrary has been accessed by users from 238 countries and territories.

OECD iLibrary now fully indexed by Discovery Services: WorldCat Discovery and Summon

ProQuest’s discovery service Summon recently added all OECD full-text content to its system and will now be regularly updated with information on the latest publications. This is the second discovery service after OCLC's WorldCat Discovery to work with OECD iLibrary. Configuration guides are available from the Help page to ensure that your users maximise the chances of discovering the OECD material you subscribe to.

OECD iLibrary Upgrade to improve content discovery and enhance site usability

OECD iLibrary received a platform update introducing several enhancements. A new key feature is the new site-wide navigation bar providing tools to browse for indexed content by theme, by country or the combination of both.

Multilingual Summaries of publications are now available in ePub format

OECD iLibrary now features Multilingual summaries in the additional format of ePub besides PDF and READ formats. The ePub format should greatly improve reading the content on mobile devices.

Introduction of Active Charts for users to 'play' with data

Subscribers to statistical periodicals have a new interactive environment to visualize tables appearing in the periodicals. Additionally, the option to download tables in XLS, PDF remains available while all users can view the tables via the READ option.

All topical content on Nuclear Energy can now be read online

OECD iLibrary is now offering the option to read content in the theme Nuclear Energy online via the READ feature. This option is available to all users and offers an additional format for subscribers.
